Breakfast is optional. Plenty of adults wake up without hunger and eat later. That is allowed. Hunger later in the day is not optional. It will arrive, and it will write the afternoon if you pretend it will not.
The trouble is the gap. Coffee for the morning. A meeting through lunch. Then 3 p.m. is a cliff and the late kitchen has to fix six hours. People blame “willpower at night.” The night was set up before noon.
If you like breakfast, keep it simple enough that it happens. If you do not, put a real meal where the hunger actually shows up. The clock is less important than the gap.
There is no prize for being the person who can go the longest on air. There is also no rule that everyone must eat at 7 a.m. Adult appetite is allowed to have a schedule that is not a children’s cafeteria.
A Good State will keep breakfast in the conversation as a choice, and hunger as a fact. Confusing the two is how a lot of afternoons get loud.
